Seminar

In October 2018 we will be offering again an advanced-level course with the aim of giving interested persons with IP background first-hand training, mainly in European Patent Law. In the seminar we will concentrate on European Patent Law, but lectures about EU Trademarks and patent and trademark infringement will also be given. Extensive reference to relevant Board of Appeal decisions will be made. All lectures will be held in English by members of our firm as well as guest speakers from the European Patent Office, the Boards of Appeal, university and industry. Apart from the legal aspects, the lectures will also include practical exercises. Additionally, we will provide the opportunity to attend an oral hearing in an opposition or appeal proceeding before the European Patent Office in Munich.

Furthermore, complimentary leisure activities will be offered to the participants at the weekends before and after the seminar, for example a sightseeing walking tour of Munich, a cultural event, as well as a trip to the beautiful lake Chiem and the famous Neuschwanstein Castle. Level of the course

Our seminar is directed to participants who already have knowledge of patent law and wish to improve their expertise in European patent law.

Costs

The costs for the seminar will amount to EUR 1,500.00 (for our clients this fee will be reduced by 50%). This includes all lectures and materials, complimentary leisure events, as well as lunches and the Gala Dinner on Thursday night. Flights and accomodation are not included in the fee.

We shall be pleased to assist you with the booking of your hotel room. A selection of rooms has been reserved at the Hotel “Blauer Bock”. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Munich, only a few steps from our office.
