1. Our understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

At Kador & Partner, we define CSR as follows:

  • Conducting business in a socially responsible and ethical manner;
  • Protecting the environment and safety of the people;

  • Supporting human rights;

  • Engaging, learning from, respecting and supporting the communities and cultures within which we function;

  • Meeting, and aim to exceed, any relevant legislation.

We are committed to ensuring that any business undertakings are conducted as ethically as possible by following the below policy.

2. Who we are and what we do

Kador & Partner deals with all aspects of intellectual property law and related legal issues and provides its services to small/medium sized businesses, large corporations, and public sector clients, such as universities.

We operate our business on the basis of the following principles:

  • We conduct our operations in an open, honest and ethical manner;
  • We ensure that all our operations are legitimate;
  • We undertake to keep every partnership and collaboration open and transparent;

  • We recognize the importance of protecting all our human, financial, physical, informational, social, environmental and reputational assets;

  • We will advise our partners, contractors and suppliers of our CSR Policy and will work with them to achieve consistency with the policy;

  • We are committed to measuring, auditing and tracking the implementation of our CSR policy.

We aim to have the highest professional and ethical standards, and pledge to be honest, open, and transparent in all our interactions with our customers.

7. Suppliers’ Standards

We aim to create and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and contractors. We aim to choose suppliers who share our ethos in relation to employment practices, quality, and environmental controls.

8. Community Engagement

We recognize and understand the significance of the local community within which we operate. We aim to enhance our contribution to the community by being sensitive to the needs of local people and groups, and by promoting ethical and socially responsible trading.

Human Rights Policy

We at Kador & Partner firmly believe that one of the greatest achievements of mankind is the recognition of universal and inalienable rights of every human being, as articulated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This seminal document begins with the following two paragraphs:

“Whereas recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world,

Whereas disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbarous acts which have outraged the conscience of mankind, and the advent of a world in which human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief and freedom from fear and want has been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people,…”

We are absolutely committed to respecting human rights, both as an ethical obligation and as an important part of our role in society. Respecting human rights enables us to live up to our purpose and we wholeheartedly embrace our responsibility to respect human rights and any opportunity to promote them.

We expect our business partners and other relevant parties to do the same, and to recognize and respect human rights.
