Barbara studied law at the University of Innsbruck, Austria and is part of our trade mark team.

Barbara’s work revolves around performing and asserting trade mark and design applications with an international focus. It is of great concern to her to actively support our clients during the “trade mark finding phase” by doing trade mark searches and market analysis and advising on the availability and strength of the new trade mark.

Barbara also advises our clients on how to develop individual trade mark strategies and how to manage the trade mark portfolio. Trade mark monitoring and analyzing the prospects of success for opposition and cancellation proceedings also belong to her range of tasks. Her practice also includes conducting opposition, appeal and cancellation proceedings before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) as well as negotiating out-of-court settlements.

Besides her native German she fluently speaks English and also some Italian.
