As a result of the great success of the 2013 seminar Kador & Partner decided to host another advanced training course in 2014. From October 10 to 18, 2014 we offered again an advanced-level course to give people with some IP background additional first-class training, mainly in European Patent Law. In the seminar we concentrated on European Patent Law, but also gave lectures about Community Trademarks, patent and trademark infringement as well as on the Community patent regime that is coming about. We furthermore made extensive reference to relevant Board of Appeal decisions. All lectures were held in English by members of our firm as well as guest speakers from the European Patent Office and experts from industry. At each morning or afternoon session several speakers dealt with a specific topic and discussed it from different points of view. Due to the small number of participants, we had ample time to deal with everyone’s questions. Apart from the legal discussion, the lectures also included practical exercises. Additionally, we provided the opportunity to attend oral hearings in an appeal proceeding before the European Patent Office in Munich.

Furthermore, we went on several trips with our guests. This year we visited the famous Linderhof Palace, a cultural show at GOP theater, as well as the beautiful Lake Chiemsee.
